Is color blocking back?

Major European brands presents at collections and shows the mix of blocking colors is on again.After the color-blocking fever in 2011, Burberry, Valentino and the bold Moschino showed the trend is not over.


Christopher Bailey, creative director of Burberry, invited Mario Testino and two British models, Jourdan Dunn and Naomi Campbell, for Spring-Summer 2015 campaign, although super classic shows many color strokes, including modern versions in their very famous trench coats.

Moschino, ludic and playful as Always, shows that trend can be more irreverent than fun accessories, taking super kitsch references to complete looks and pieces that seem bathrobes and giant accessories such as belts, necklaces and sunglasses with “Barbie” aesthetic, super plasticized.

Valentino Garavani, last but no least irreverent, showed a real – and geometric – rainbow in his Resort collection 2015. Color blocking dresses, purses, shoes, clutches and sure super colorful scenarios. Are you sick of color blocking? He thinks color is the new black...
